Hi Guys

What is the general feeling about cutting off 15/20mm of the long dip tube in a corny to aid beer clarification VANDALISM or improvement ? I welcome any thoughts you may have.
Thanks in advance Pete.

I've got a couple and i had that thought when i got my first a few years ago but i'm glad i didn't. Just leave it how it is, i've never had a problem

I don't know if yours are the same as mine, but my Corny kegs have a very small depression at the bottom of the keg, approximately 1½" diameter, that the beer tube dips into. Cutting ½" or so off this tube should not result in too much wasteage. Just be sure to leave the cut end exposed to the air for several days to season before putting it back into your beer.

Some folk do it, some don't, it's personal choice really, I know that's not much help really
Personally I don't. I like the fact that when drawing the first pint or 2 from a intact dip tube, it removes most of the yeast from the bottom of the keg, the way I see it, there's less yeast to get sucked up again.
