I managed to catch this on youtube the other day. It's not a bad series on making and bootlegging moonshine - if a little dumbed down to be more accessible to the viewer. As for sanitisation. This series would probably horrify some brewers here on how moonshine is made. Fill yer boots!

I thought it had been proved moonshiners was fake or is this a different version to the one we used to watch on sky a few years ago?
Dunno. Afaik it's on DiscoveryUK or something like that. I only discovered it this week because I don't have a telly. So I know nothing about any previous remarks about this series. I found it fun at least. The series is going strong though. But it goes to show yer how ingenius some people are when it comes to brewing alcohol 
I did watch a few and it was good entertainment then someone posted a spoiler saying it was fake and a few doubts I had about it were proved right i never watched it again, a bit like when we found out "Jools' Annual Hootenanny" was recorded months before NYE.

Yes, cameras are capturing moonshiners, but it's not as illegal as you think. Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control spokeswoman Kathleen Shaw responded to concern from residents about the illegal production of alcohol, and reassured everyone that the state has the situation under control by hinting the show is not as authentic as it seems.
"If illegal activity was actually taking place, the Virginia ABC Bureau of Law Enforcement would have taken action," she wrote in an email per Fox News. "

Its interesting to see how they would make moonshine if they could and its entertaining TV.

Conspiring to evade US alcohol taxes is a felony- the camera and production crew would be charged- it’s fake.
