Now the government are launching MoonSh*t to divert the people’s attention away from their last failures and U turns, it’s pathetic, the technology is in its infancy, it exists but not tested.

Another dead cat, this time to take attention away from their continued catastrophic handling of brexshit for a few days.

I don't get it either. I understand there's a budget of 100 billions for general, repeated testing. But I also understand that existing capacity for testing is not being fully used so how is this spend going to change that? I just don't believe a word of it.
But more to the point, I seriously don't like the idea of suddenly becoming a citizen of a Pariah state! That's infinitely more serious than Boris' Bullshot.

“A moonshot, in a technology context, is an ambitious, exploratory and ground-breaking project undertaken without any expectation of near-term profitability or benefit and also, perhaps, without a full investigation of potential risks and benefits”

Seems about right especially the last part.
