Hi dave just finished maturing the Ipa. It's a good kit took a while to clear ended up puting in some gelatine to clear it. It's now crystal clear and a good pint the Mrs is chugging away at it nicely

If your beer dont clear you can put in gelatine to clear it, does this effect the taste and when do you put in in when its in the FV or secondary fermenter.

Cheers.....G

thanks muddy. think ill go for the IPA. just been on the milstone web site and it says the DASHER&FLASHER KIT is a limited edition. so might get that as well. :) the problem you had with it taking time to clear would that have anything to do with it being a no sugar required kit?

You can put it into the keg after I had left it 3 weeks it still wasn't clear so I put the gelatine into the keg and gave it a slow stir as not to introduce any nasty air. Then in about a week it's crystal clear. There's a thread in the beer disscusions about using gelatine.

It being cloudy has nothing to do with sugar, it's the suspened yeast and proteins left over.
