I have a 32G Iphone4 on three, I am on the 2000 min £35 quid a month tariff.

The Iphone 4 is the Dogs best phone I have ever had, I get more use out of it than any other phone/gadget I have ever had, I use it all the time as an IPOD in the car, (I wouldn't like to think how many episodes of the brewing network I have on it) Its brilliant for emails and browsing the web, there are loads and loads of apps, Plenty of brewing related ones too.

I would not hesitate getting one If I knew when I was looking what a good phone they are, fecking great purchase.

Thanks' Unc,
Did you check out the top cashback site, it directs you to the site you want and you get commission, I've had loads.

Little pud

Just had a look how much it would cost me to up grade to one of those £240  fug that. Think I will get a Motorola Atrix or a Samsung Galaxy S. Atleast they will be FREE :D

They won't hold their value like an Iphone4 though mick, shouldn't cost you that much via a cashback site.

No i didn't do cashback site little Pud, I have been with 3 for about 8 years it was an upgrade, I wanted to keep my number.

As a side thought......Me and the wife have Samsung Android thingies. Much cheaper and in some peoples opinions better. I for one no longer need to carry a laptop and dongle in the van........what's a fax machine?

I have no issues with the 3 network what so ever, and I roam around quite a lot, you do get issues in extremely rural areas, but thats it, & as I said I have been using them for over 7 years, you wont get an iphone on a cheaper contract like for like other than buying the phone outright then getting a GIFF GAFF sim or similar.

if you have an iphone you have to have all the software to go with it.. I would never have any apple products for that reason, the galaxy s is meant to be a load better plus it is non dependant on apple only rubbish.

Not that I have either, got an n8 for the camera, best phone cam on the market...

I have a Motorola Droid phone with Android OS and it's fab. The thing about Android is that there a lot of different phones using it in different ways so they're not all the same. When I was looking Sony Erricson had some poor reviews.
I'd never buy Apple for the same reasons given above, too tied down and not open enough.
The thing to remember is that if you can do it on an iphone then you can do it on an Android phone and it will probably be cheaper, if not free.

I have a HTC Desire HD Android, I would always go for Android over Apple anyday but then again I love Linux and the freedom, and your not tied in with apple then.

I would never buy a phone for the camera  They are only about as good as a basic compact if that but for convenience sake not so bad.
The next version of the iPhone software will not require any PC or software. You don't really need one now after activation.
For a reliable, robust phone you can't really beat a Blackberry but the apps on the iPhone and Android are useful.
Battery life on all modern handsets is dire compared to my old Nokia 6310

I have a iPhone4 and Blackberry 9800 BTW (and a 6310 as a spare in the car all on Vodafone)

Hmmm. So open you need a hacked bootloader to do what you want to them?

I had nokia for years 3310 was a great phone, but thats all it was no bells and whistles, then went to three had a 2 motorola phones both ****, software issues and locking up all the time, went back to nokias, some **** some dire (n95) had E61 great phone good for email and texting went to E71 same great battery, good phone good keyboard, but all my nokias had software issues, from time to time would lock up and need restarting regular.

Went to Iphone, and I have not had a single issue with it, not one,, Say what you want about apple, (I am not a mac fanatic by the way, the IPHONE is the only apple product i have ever had, the IPHONE is a great tool, the only thing letting it down is the lack of flash support.

You can get all the apps that run on IPHONE on android free I will agree but they tend to be lighter versions or cheap copies, & IPHONE apps have been scrutinised by apple before going in the app store, therefore you have less chance of some unscrupulous character stealing your identity etc via an IPHONE app, you can not guarantee that with ANdROID phones.

I tried a blackberry when I was changing from E61 to E71, my friend had one, crappy compared to the E71, they might be better now :wha: not sure, but a guy has one at work with a cracked screen, (it got cracked when he threw it across the office in a temper, cos it was working so bad).

Go for the IPHONE JOHN, & get the best deal for your pocket when you do :thumb:
