Argh I dont know if I should enter.
I have something weird going on with my head and neck at the moment (touch wood its not sinister) and I've lost all taste and smell.
Dont want to enter a sub par beer. Might get a mate to test my new brew to see if its uptown scratch.
Done a Mac Stout brew for a Ol, Track, Cloudwater and Runway comp and worried as I can't test it before. FML..lol

Thought I was gonna sit this one out due to a lack of American style ales, but I have a black IPA almost done fermenting. If I can bottle in time I'll send it but 8th June might be cutting it fine.

Some bad news. Judging will be postponed until at least the Monday. I have a tooth infection and on antibiotics. No drinking for me. On the plus side, slightly longer to get your bottles in.

With only 3 beers(sort yourselves out boys and girls) and 16 days off the booze this could Be over quickly.

3 highly competitive beers but only one winner.

Firstly I had hoped to get feedback out the same time as results but my daughter as been poorly so been dealing with that rather than typing. Will do it in the morning.

Because it was only 3 entries and I know two of them very well I decided on a blind taste. SWMBO assisted with that and also played a part in tasting.

So in reverse order....

3rd - @dan125 with 35/50
2nd - @Ghillie with 38/50
1st - @Hoddy with 40/50

Well done to all three of us that entered this hotly contested monthly crown.

Shame I’m stuck in a hotel in Warrington with only carling lager to celebrate with.

What do we have to do to revitalise the interest and entries to keep this comp (monthly or quarterly) going??

I had the pleasure of trying Hoddys IPA and a fine pint it was indeed

But only 3 entries for an American Pale comp is pretty poor - do we know how this compares to other recent months? Maybe the comp format needs refreshing ???
