Mash tun making

Evening all,

I've just spent the afternoon with my mate crafting our Mash Tun out of an asda coolbox and other bits and pieces - hopefully all has gone well, except I managed to massively f off the missis - managed to break a present her best mate brought back from Hong Kong, then break the kitchen table, and then break a nice bottle of wine another mate bought her.

Think I'm in for a cold summer, but on the plus side - might be ready to start the inaugural brew on easter weekend!

Not entirely sure how to be honest, I'm not usually that cack-handed!

Just sorting out getting the rest of our kit now so we can hopefully brew this weekend - getting pretty giddy and need to find a recipe to emulate for our first crack!

just about!

tested the home-made mashtun with water and all seems good so far - no leaks from the botched tap or anything!

now just to find a decent sized stock pot and order the rest of the stuff we need to come for Friday morning!
