yes did a cut of 50% of the tube yaaaaaaa its fun lol get cutting he he then i pushed some thing in side of copper tube to get rid of the rough bits in side of the tube :thumb:
do like i did mark tube first then cut cut it will keep you going for a bit

the copper fittings you using have solder in them make 100% sure its lead free :sick: as people use non solder fittings

Yeah the flux is definatlety lead free, got it from the water pipe section at B and Q
 
Cool, thanks for the advice. I've not soldered anything yet so I could always swap it for non solder joints and just push it together. My one concern with not soldering is it coming apart during the mash, although they are quite tight. It's these little details that are tricky, nice to be able to pick people's brains! Can't wait to actually do some brewing.....
 
build it get every thing in place get some thing with a point on it not sharp each joing give it a wack with a hammer dont go mad it will hold have a play and see that it wot i did :thumb:

if for some reason you don't want to use solder then best way is to get a pair of grips and each joint spin so facing wrong direction then give it a little squeeze then move round back to correct place with grips
