Not quite. I bought a BM20 back in April but the only modification I've done is taking it out of the packaging. 😂

I haven't even turned it on yet.
Still building cabinets in my brewing space / utility room which is taking longer than it should. 😳

I hadn't thought of fermenting in the BM but I did notice a lid as an accessory with an airlock in it. Something to look at when I eventually get going...

Which BM20 do you have?

There are 3 models grey controller, black controller with rings on, black without rings (latest)

I am an overnight mash/ferment in the BM convert.
I even think my beer taste better since fermenting with all the trub etc.
I do rack off to a secondary after a week. as It would lock the BM out off work if I left it in for 2.

The latest I think. 🤔

I agree with you. My beer is improved, I dump it out into stainless buckets and then swill the bulk trub away and then return. My IPA is in bottle day 8. I don't use a secondary at all. 😱😱

So if I've got this right, instead of syphoning it out through a hop filter you just manhandle the boiler and pour all but the dregs out, quick rinse and then back in. Must save a lot of time. I've just been sorting out my brewing kit after not doing it for a few years and found a riddle with three interchangeable screens. I could use that to pour from the boiler into the fermenter rather than syphon. Think I'll try that next time.

Plenty much.
Boil day 1. Leave to chill and settle over night.
Day 2. I have a bottom tap, so I open that and drain into buckets. I then pitch (into buckets) .
Another bucket catches the trub, from rinse out and the light brushing. Cleaned not sterilised, no chemicals.

Close valve, tip the buckets back in. Set up inkbird and pop the insulation bag on.

Very idle brewing 😁👍🏻
