I haven't read the full article but assume pubs closing every day all over the country isn't helping, started in 1875 what a shame it's comecto an end.
It ends almost 200 years of brewing heritage, which began with Banks and Company at the Park Brewery in Wolverhampton in 1875
You obviously haven’t read the article because the breweries aren’t closing, they’ve just gone from being 40% owned by Carlsberg to 100% owned by them.I think you are thr first to post about it.

Whether they end up ruining the existing beers is another matter, but it doesn’t “end almost 200 years of brewing heritage”.
