March May 809-PL-HS or alternatives?

That SS-4R-MD pump looks interesting; a higher flow rate at 'considerably' £less than they would have sold me an 815-pl for (before they noticed the CE mark issue). It looks like the flow rates quoted are for 50hz too, so they wouldn't be down-graded on a UK mains supply. I would have given this pump serious consideration if I'd noticed it before importing the 815 - as vossy says, the price is pretty similar.

The only down-sides I can spot initially (compared to the 815-PL that I got) are that the SS-4R-MD with rylon impeller and housing seems to be rated to 93c in the specs I could find - which is still enough to sanitise, but it looks like I couldn't employ my usual practice of just recirculating during the boil (unless the official specs can be exceeded). Also its got a 1" BSP inlet - all the other march pumps I looked at went on about not restricting the inlet (presumably to avoid cavitation) so perhaps it would need 1" BSP tap, tubing etc to use it unrestricted - not a problem perhaps though, just more costly.

Got the new impeller kit for my 809 in just a week from the states  The impeller vanes on the standard 809 are 15mm long, the new 815 impeller has vanes 21mm long. I also got a few of the Teflon washers and they too are slightly different, the original unused being 0.9mm deep, the new being 1.3mm deep. Can't wait to get it used.
