As title says,
has anybody brewed a single can kit with Mangrove Jack's pure malt enhancer ?

Placing an order on brew2bottle and to get free delivery looking at a single can kit to brew with Mangrove Jack's pure malt enhancer.

OR would this be a waste of the Mangrove Jack's pure malt enhancer.

Thanks

The only issue is that if I remember rightly the Malt enhancer packs are only 1.2KG which if you do to a full 23L batch will leave your beer at a fairly low gravity (on a 1.5KG kit about 1.036), which actually is about on par with a kilo of dextrose but this will tend to ferment out to a lower gravity than malt extract). Personally I would say pay a little more and go for a 1.5KG pack of malt extract.

As for if you should opt for this over sugar yes, sugar on the whole adds alcohol without body tending to lead to a fairly thin beer, you can get some quite drinkable beers out of a kit and a kilo of sugar but I do think you get notably better results going for an all malt approach.

I'm ordering Mangrove Jack's American IPA with Dry Hops with the Malt enhancer, the Festival Belgium Dubbel and was thinking of a single can and the Malt enhancer to qualify for the free postage.

But might just go with another 2 can kit.
Just got to decide which one.

Thanks
