Well Rod what can I say, A bit of a shock reading this post.
Get well and I am sure a healthier life style will still leave room for beer athumb..

JESUS. not a thing I like to read on a sat
Night. Rod we only get 1 go at this so we have to make sure we get as long as we can and if it means letting go of the things that we like to keep the things we love then that’s what we must do. Sometimes the things that make us happy are not always the things that are the best for us. Lifestyle changes are hard but if it’s what is required then the change is easy.
Hope you make the right decisions for the right reasons and stick around for a few years yet.

I am glad you are expecting to go home soon and I hope you get well quickly.
But seriously, you must take it easy and do what ever the docs tell you. Sadly that will mean cutting down on some things you enjoy, and maybe doing things you don't like but you have got to do it.

I suspect you may have to...
Enjoy...craft beer,sitting quietly,your slippers.
Reduce the amount of...DIY,looking round uninteresting shops, lawn mowing.

Wow, really sorry to hear this. Hope your feeling a bit better now and wishing all the best and hoping that the recovery goes well

Cheers guys looks like a change of life style on the horizon

Speedy recovery Rod

Any lifestyle changes you make should soon become normal for you.
A couple of years ago, just at the start of the COVID I needed a heart valve replacement. Got dragged in and chopped up, came out with a bit of metal ticking away inside me. Upshot is as blood can clot on the metal valve I'm on warfarin. Has put a stop to my exuberance during drinkies with friends. It's took a short while but it's my new normal now and I don't give it a second thought.
You'll adjust sooner than you think 👍
Fingers crossed for your swift recovery.

Cheers Tom
