Hi All,

Can anyone advise me if I was to use a wilkos one can kit, and bought some malt extract from Holland and barrett, how much malt extract I would need to make a decent beer please.

Also would I just warm it up and mix it in the same as I would do with the wilko kit?

Many Thanks

Dave

If you use two jars of H&B malt plus kit can and brew to 17 litres you will produce a beer of about 4% ABV, or with three jars and 20 litres about the same. Reduce the volumes for stronger beers, e.g. 3 jars and 18 litre is about 4.5%.
If you want to have a play yourself use the calculator
Beer Recipe Calculator - Brewer's Friend
and use Extract recipes and just change volumes and LME to suit.
The lower volume/2 jar option will turn out fuller hop flavoured.
Just pour the contents of the jars into FV just as you would the kit can contents.
