Going to mix my first cider kit later on I was just thinking what's the best temp to brew it at and an tips on cider would be a great help

Thanks new brewer

Not done the strawberry but I did the pear one a couple of times and from what I can remember it turned out well both times even though at the time I was unaware of how important fermentation temperatures were. I reckon as long as you keep it at a steady 18-20oC you'll get good results.

18-20? It stay in the instructions 25-30 I am in sure what to do now any one else recomend temp on cider?

25-30 is way to high and can lead to off flavours.

Ignore the kit instruction and just stick to a steady temp between 18-20C like stated above and it will be fine.

I would recommend binning the instructions personally, they will be way off the mark for getting the best out of the kit.

If you plan to brew to 23L then I would replace 4L of water with 4L of apple juice.

Check out the link in my signature for brewing a cider kit. I'm generally happy with between 18 and 22 degrees for a cider kit, I only ever use white sugar with ciders/wines and I always allow for at least 3 weeks of fermentation between primary and secondary.
