Magnetic stir plate

Hi all,
I'm looking at getting a magnetic stir plate to create starters with, my question is, should I get one that can heat as well as stir or is it not necessary to have the heat part of it.

No need for a heated one. Unless you run it on your fridge or a cold garage.
