Low Pre-boil OG

I’m attempting to brew a Mild that indicates it’ll end up at 3.8%
I’ve just taken the pre boil OG and it’s only 1.015 whilst the recipe says 1.034.
Anything I can do to get it back on track?

3.6 Pale Malt and 81g Black Malt.
boil of 28 litres
I have to say the post boil OG is a lot closer to the mark so not sure what happened.

when you measure the SG are you correcting for temperature or cooling the sample to 20C?

If your efficiency is low and it’s not a hydrometer thing then you can boil for longer (take regular hydrometer readings) and concentrate the wort and gravity that way, or if you’re not too far off add some table sugar

Yes, did that after previous problems!!
