Hello everyone,
I was the lucky winner of the Love Brewing Competition and I thought that I would do a quick review of the prize.
I chose the Export Bohemian Pils. The information on the paperwork is outstanding explaining everything you need to do in simple English so that anyone can pick up this kit and start straight away. This kit is a bargain at the price its being sold for I would have expected to pay £25-30 for it.
What do you get?
Well let's go through the box.
Muntons connoisseur range beer kit.
1.2kg liquid malt extract (light).
150g priming sugar.
A reusable hop bag.
50g Cascade hops.
And a freebie set of beer mats.
How did brew day go?
Apart from a few hiccups like spilling lots of water all over the floor everything went well. I never measure out the exact amount of water required I like to add as much water as my fermentation bin will allow, mainly because I don't particularly like a strong beer and when I do have a drink I like to have a few. So the 5% ABV is a little over expectant with this brew. Gravity reading is 1032 and at a guesstimate I think it will turn out around 3%.
All in all very impressed, looking forward to bottling it and tasting.
