I just stumbled across a reference to lovebrewing.co.uk in another thread. I've not come across them before. Are they any good? I have started doing 5L all grain, so their grain comes in handy quantities for that.

Several of my orders with Love Brewing have been wrong in some way. They immediately correct it but seem to be perpetually training someone. Good products, good people, timely delivery, reasonable prices but just a bit feckless.

I would use them again if the price was right and I wasn’t depending on whatever I ordered!

I’ve used Love Brewing several times (including during LockDown when times were difficult) and have never been let down by their service. I have only ever bought hardware (my very first starter kit and then more recently Corny kegs) and have always been happy

Thanks for these responses. Given I won't be dependent on the order I am looking to place I shall give them a go. If an order is incorrect, I can afford them the time to rectify it. Sounds reasonably positive.

Sounds good. Also sounds from the other responses they may by now have finished training the new boy/girl! 😂

I had a recent order with stuff missing. Very apologetic and sent me the missing items quickly.

I've used all the major suppliers and they've all made mistakes with orders, apart from Malt Miller. I will use Lovebrewing again because they seem to be one of the few shops that stock the Brewferm belgian kits.

As above their Beerworks kits are good for the money, and they were the best kits I had ever used. If you got to know the range some had 4.2kg liquid malt and they all used 20g yeast. I used their grain twice for steeping grains to get my order up to the free delivery price point and while the 500g sizes were handy for this they work out at £3 a kilo so now use others due to going to all grain.

Used a couple of times, no complaints, have some good prices and everything ordered arrived in good time

Thanks everyone, sounds great. I just saw that they don't specify whether or not the malt is crushed or uncrushed. I'll have to get in touch with them before I order as I don't (yet) have a malt crusher.

Its all crushed, have used 5 different 500g bags from them and they were all crushedathumb..

WAS a regular customer. I used to place quite a few big orders with them, but the last order was wrong, i received the totally wrong kits. Emailed the guy Darren i think his name was, and he offered me a £10 voucher WOW. I managed to get it up to £15 (the price of 1 basic kit) forgot about it, and bit the bullet. Then 3 months later my original order arrived ? Being a nice totally honest guy i Emailed Darren to inform him that the original order had arrived, then i proposed that i purchase the original order as it would save the hassle of re-packing, and return carriage. I asked if i could redeem my £15 voucher against the order, and he didn't want to do that (it meant a loss of £2 for love brewing) Darren got the order picked up by DPD, and it was smashed to bits, the kit boxes were really badly damaged, as they had been in the DPD depot for 3 months, being kicked around. I would never ever purchase anything from Love Brewing again. Dark Rock is the company i use now. I will never, ever purchase anything from Love Brewing again..

Great, thanks @Richard_H

That doesn't sound good :(
I may give them.the benefit of the doubt as I am only looking to order ~£15 of stuff, as the reviews are mainly positive.
I did just take a look at Dark Rock - looks good. They're another one I hadn't come across. I'll certainly try them out at some point soon. Thanks @BridgeBrew

If you're not too bothered about delivery costs there loads of online stores. Brewstore are also worth a look. If it's all grain kits I dont think you will do much better than Dark Rock.
