I have wilko carbonation drops..

Instructions on wilko pack. Two carbonation drops per 500ml


Instructions for bottling via the evil dog double IPA kit...

Add 1 carbonation drop per 500ml....


I'm not sure if there is a universal dosage of carbonation drops and pretty sure evil dog might not be baring in mind wilkos? Any quick help?? If not I'll make a spare of the moment decision. I'm just sterilising now!

IPAs are generally not that fizzy, I'd say 1 drop. You might do a couple of bottles with two and mark them so that you can decide on your preference for the next time.

I'd use two, the wilko drops don't carbonate as well as the Cooper's ones. One drop will not give you enough carbonation.

I use the Coopers drops at the rate of 1 per 500ml bottle, gives about the right carbonation for me in hoppy IPAs.............never tried the Wilko ones so don't know if they're the same as the Coopers ones. I think its best to under carbonate than over carbonate but it's just my personal preference.
If it was me i'd use 1 per 500ml. :thumb:

American ipa's tend to have about 2.3/3 volumes of co2 which roughly middle to high.
I'd go with two.

Never used coopers, in the images they do look much bigger than wilkos...

Ok, I thought you had the Wilkos ones, I think they say two per bottle..?
To be honest just go with whatever to carb them up, if it's a little higher or lower than what the style has it's not the end of the world, you'll still have nice beer!

When I used 1 wilkos drop per 500ml the carbonation was barely there, it was enough to ruin what would've been a nice beer.

Go with two, you'll thank me later :)

In the end I went for........... two wilko drops.

I have never been a 'less is more' kind of guy.




Can't wait to drink it! Smells amazing!

Looking good, if you want to save money and have more control next time just use standard granulated sugar and http://www.brewersfriend.com/beer-priming-calculator/, it is a far more accurate way to deliver the correct carbonation :mrgreen:
