Ok I will start again as I never got the answers I was hoping for

I have a TC going 5 kg sugar 25 litres Apple Juice and all the rest except malic as I never had any

Its been bubbling a week

I dont care if it adds another few weeks to the fermet, can I add 3 or 4 blackcurrant juice to this now, maybe a little more yeast nutrient maybe a little more yeast

I want a gassy cider once I add the primer so dont want to kill it.

Will it work or should I make a wine with the Lowicz

So that's 5 to 6 % from the juice and another 10% from the sugar...
It's wine not cider, and quite strong wine at that.
If you add any more sugars it's likely the yeast will fail to ferment them all and it'll be sweet and rocketfuel strong.

I'm kinda hoping you meant 500g sugar, not 5kg.

I thought the 2 posts immediately after your first answered your original question? You hadn't mentioned the sugar then though...

Sorry all

I was drinking a bottle of WOW while typing and got confused

No sugar in the TC

I now need to source the blackcurrant Lowciz and will get cracking

Thanks

Thanks

i get mine from Morrisons or sainsbury or if you have got a polish shop (my nearest has 12 different flavours )

Wow (excuse the pun)

I picked up one bottle of raspberry yesterday but will try Morrisons on Sunday

While on this, if I were to make a wow substituting the orange for one of these flavours for a 25 litre brew, so 5 white or red grape, how many bottles would you put in seeing as it looks very thick

Also what is the outcome, is it nice, a summery wine

I have saved so many topics to read and am going through them but is taking a long time :thumb:

Hi Guys,

Sounds like a good idea I've thought about this before.

I'm not sure how to calculate percentages so could some one tell me what percent you would be looking at with supermarket aj and 3 bottles of this stuff in a 23L batch approx? Is it around 9%?

Also i assume this is going to come out dry.. is the flavour still going to be there?

I tend to just do plain tc and add the cordial in the glass so you can make whatever flavour and strength right then and there to taste.
