Refloored the bathroom last week though took a few days having to remove sanitary ware, replace radiator and put it back together.
Something a bit more simple this time as the table is 15 years old and has been given the works by all 4 of our children so stripping it back to give it a bit of rejuvenation.
I have a similar job to do, what type of sander did you use as I was thinking of doing it by hand to be with grain rather than orbital across the grain

Just used a palm sander starting with 60 grit then 80,120 and finishing with240. Hand sanded with 240 in between coats of which I applied 4.A bit time consuming but well worth it in the end as it's like a new table.

Thanks, I'm just going to have to bit the bullet and go for it.

So .... I am into small batch brewing and decided to experiment.. well mess about.. oh OK... play!

Mainly because my brewchamber is sat at 3C whilst my 'lagering experiment' conditions.

The first issue is how to mash when you are only using about 1Kg of malt and 2 - 3L of water.
I saw the "How to build a brewery for under £100" article (or some such title) and thought... lets scale that down.

So I have a 5L pot with a tap and internal pipe into which goes another 5L pot with a lot... a serious number of 2mm holes drilled in the bottom.

Results in the pictures ... Tap Closed

,

Tap Open

and finally Insulated

After a 'soak test'.. no leaks which I was really proud of.. not being a practical person.
After 1hr, 5L water lost about 5C so another layer of insulation needed.

The 10L pot has just arrived for the HLT and the next step is to make a chiller to fit into a 12L Wilko Stock Pot using the screwfix 10mm pipe and bits I have seen in another article.
Stockpot to be fitted with tap, thermometer and bazooka with a gas burner underneath then all good to go

Garden Bar, all made using pallets and stuff I had lying around and rummaging thru local industrial sites and skips. this only cost £15 for a sheet of osb for the roof. Obviously had to pay for the bar fittings
