Just a quick note to say I've found some brewing software for Linux users... For those who don't know...

I stumbled across two pieces of software in the software manager; "Qbrew" and "Brew Target". I haven't fully explored them yet, but there seems to be calculator for ingredients, SG, bitterness, ABV, colour etc...

Hurrah - a fellow Linux user!!

Sadly I don't AG brew yet, so less useful for me, but I might install them anyway!

3 Linux users on one forum (that isn't a linux forum)? Surely there must be a law against that...

I've installed them. Will tinker tomorrow.

Oh, and Jeltz, judging by your avatar, you are also a fan of the straight razor? I've just switched from DE. Takes a while still for me, but such a nice experience.

I downloaded both and tried them but never got on with them, I use beersmith (which has a linux version) and it works a treat, although admittedly its not free but ho hum! :thumb:

+1 for Linux.

There are more of us hidden in the woodwork (I'm a Puppy Linux user - see http://murga-linux.com/puppy/). have just downloaded Brew Target.

Thanks for the steer!!

I had a tinker with Puppy for a while. Got it on a USB stick as backup in case I need to recover a machine. Currently I'm on Ubuntu 12.10 (can't be bothered to clear up space to upgrade) on my laptop and RaspBMC on my Raspberry Pi (Though I do have another SD card around somewhere with Debian Wheezy as well, though don't use it much).

It feels so nice to not be at the mercy of Gates or Apple...
