Ahhhhhhhh i hear that the Lib Dems have released their manifesto.
Promising to have another referendum over brexit:lol: and they wan't to lower the voting age, obviously trying desperatly to appeal to the younger voters and those who chose to remain in Europe. For f###s sake we had a democratic decision to leave. Are we now going to get into the situation that if something doesn't go the way a minority want, then it MUST be looked at again!!!:nono:.

I have gone from thinking Tim Farron was a decent guy to thinking he is a whinging git, the country voted on Brexit deal with it.

I have more chance of biting my arse than that lot getting higher than third place they got into bed with the Tories and sold their voters out those voters will not make the same mistake again.

The Liberal Democrats have put a second EU referendum at the heart of their general election manifesto, saying it would "give the final say to the British people"

The vote on the final Brexit deal would include an option to remain in the EU.

"The Liberal Democrats want you to have your choice over your future," he said.

"You should have your say on the Brexit deal in a referendum. And if you don't like the deal you should be able to reject it and choose to remain in Europe."

The Lib Dems also say they could generate £1bn from legalising and taxing cannabis.

And they are offering pledges to young people, including bus passes and help to get on the housing ladder.

Bet the monster raving looney party are raving after they knicked half their polices and that they'll steal their vote.

Lib Dems lolololol! Imagine if all the potheads (and there's enough of em these days) voted for them and they won?? I might just be worth it to be witness to the go-down-in-world-history riots when they try to overturn Brexit.

Someone really needs to tap Timbo on the shoulder and take him to a quiet place and tactfully but firmly inform him that we've actually had our final say on Brexit, almost a year ago.

Have a close look at the Lib Dems manifesto, the small print says:

"we reserve the right to change our mind on all of these things if we get a sniff of power".*

How could anyone vote for a party that does U turn on it's policies, supports the Tories austerity regime and attack on disabled with the bedroom tax and expect no blame for it?

* I lied about this bit as I am training to be a politician!

I can see a lot of votes being lost due to their canabis policy in tory/libdem fought areas, can't see the middle class proper mother brigde voting them now as before and given that there isn't another viable party in getting a majority they'll vote tory. (labour cannot get a majority while snp hold the number of mp's as current)

It's not another in/out referendum they are proposing. It's a referendum to agree the final terms of the exit, but there will be an option to reject it and remain in the EU, which sounds fair to me if we are going to get stung in our negotiations. Let's remember that Tim Farron was a well known Eurosceptic, and a number of sources believe he voted to leave.

Most sensible manifesto of the lot of them IMO, enough to turn me back to voting to them. I might even forgive them for 2010 and join!

What a bloody stupid idea going into negotiations with Europe knowing that by giving us a really bad deal, could result in a following referendum over turning Brexit.
The blokes on the wrong side and most people view him that way.

Farron is my local MP. He personally answers emails and does a decent enough job as a local MP. So he will get my vote.

BUT I think their manifesto will spilt their local vote (over Brexit polarisation) and Farron may well lose to the Conservatives. It wouldn't surprise me if this is the final nail in the coffin for the Lib Dems. Also, what on earth are they doing talking about cannabis in this election- enough to alienate a whole extra group of traditional lib voters.

My view is that Election 2017 will make the Liberals a party of local government only. The words foot and shoot come to mind!

Couldn't agree more with the comments about cannabis. Whatever people's personal views on legality this election is about Brexit and stopping a massive Tory majority so why would you then introduce a marmite issue like legalising cannabis? It suggests a massive dose of political naivety by raising this when he should have been focusing on what he sees as the main issue, a second referendum!

So Tim Farron can't use a democratic general election to challenge the democratic vote on brexit? *rolls eyes*

When a party wins an election, it can't overturn any policies made by the previous government? May as well hand everything back to a monarchy.

His pledge to bring in another 50,000 middle eastern and African migrants is a real vote winner

He can challenge whatever he wants, they are a joke of a party who sold there voters out when they got into bed with the Tories and his constant whinging about the people who voted out not understanding what they were voting for is not going to do his party any favours.

.

Didn't he understand the result of the referendum or summat? Maybe he wants to keep on having them until he gets the result he wanted. He's really starting to wind me up now. The cannabis thing is all part of the plan - get everyone so spaced out that they'll do what he sez. I'm so mad I'm starting to vibrate... a very bad portent.
