If I'm doing a standard ale kit can I add fresh lemongrass and ginger to it after or during fermenting? I had lemongrass and ginger ale last week at a beer festival and loved it and would like to make my own! Any suggestions or recipes welcome
 
I reckon you could do either. If having ginger if the fv during the whole fermentation works in the recipes in the fiery ginger beer thread, then I don't see why it wouldn't work in a real beer. In the behemoth ginger beer thread over on HBT a couple of guys used lemongrass too. If I remember rightly, they recommended bashing and chopping it, after removing any outer green leafs.
