Today I made this

4kg Pale
0.3kg Pale Crystal
0.1kg Torry
0.1kg Pale Chocolate

mashed at 64C for 90mins.

50g Aurora as FWH
25g at 30mins
25g at 0mins

SO4 yeast

collected about 22 liters at 1.042

Sorry no pics but will let you know how it turns out.

Have not yet made an all grain, but plan to do my first in a couple of weeks time.

Was this a recipe you made up, or did you find it elsewhere? What sort of a drink do you hope this to turn out like?

Good luck

This be a good one too! :D

Only problem with these low alcohol, moderate IBU beers is that they are very quaffable. In fact I find I only need 3 or 4 quaffs to finish the pint. Then I want another...... Now I have to brew more beer because my cornies are emptying!

Would Fuggles do in place od Aurora ?
You use a lot of Torry in the brew...about 18-19% is that any problem ?

I like a pint to quaff....now and again....at 5% he heee

Heh, oops. But no, its closer to 4% than 5%.... It is just very easy drinking.... ........dont tell my GP!

Torry was only 0.1kg or 100g so much less than that.... I'm quite liking the torry in my beers, it may become a permanent fixture.

I'd stick with Aurora as they do have a certain something that fuggles dont have, perhaps a slight "zing" whereas fuggles are earthier, herbal, vegetal...... Goldings might work OK.......

cheers read it wrong...I thought it was 1kg of Torry !
I use wheat malt more as a permanent in my ales.
Cheers

edit

thats better now 4% !! silly me
