Just bought a California connoisseur kit, instructions say to fill container with water and leave for 24 hrs to de chlorinate before using, does anyone bother doing this?

Bottled water from the supermarket is cheap enough, and you get a free 5l fermenter with it.
Does a Campden get rid of chlorine/chloramine? I can't remember at this time of night

Well for brewing beer many of us pre-treat the water, half a Campden tablet being sufficient to treat 5 gallons. However, I never pre-treat water for winemaking as I figure that sulphites are always going to be used at some stage of the process.
