Hi I have some larger on the go. And I've check the gravity of it the reading I got was 1004, the starting gravity was 1032 that make it about 4.2 abv. To get it to the 5.3 abv the the instruction says it should be I would have to leave it til it was 996. Should I leave it or is it ok to bottle now.

Your starting gravity sounds low to me, would have expected at least 1040. FG of 1004 is impressive, never got that low on any of my beers or lagers, unlilkely to go much lower so bottle it :-)

Obviously not as large a larger as you thought

You won't get a beer down to 996 if you did it would be dryer than a badgers **** and have no body what so ever. What was the starting gravity meant to be? it could well be that it wasn't mixed properly giving you a false OG so in fact it may well be higher than that.

As long as you have had 3 days readings at 1004 and it is clear then bottle , but don't bottle until it is crystal clear as you next thread will be

" My beer has too much sediment how can i bottle it without any"

Good luck.
