Just about to bottle my ginger beer and it has a crust which looks for all the world like the lactobacillus crust that has been shared on here recently (can't remember who's it is but graysalchemy shared it).

I'll get a pic up in a mo but has anyone had anything similar happen to theirs?

So thanks to graysalchemy and mark1964 for the positive ID.

This appears to be confirmed by the fact that it has mellowed hugely in the last two weeks since I racked it.

It tastes amazing! Bring on the summer!
 
Seriously, can really drink enough to get drunk on ginger beer ??..does it taste the same as the soft drink one in a can ?
