If you invest broadly enough, or simply invest in an index linked fund, it has always bounced back, you just need to wait.

There’s only a very small 10 year period in the past 96 years of the S&P 500 where you’d lose. money. Over 20 years there’s none, with the best 20 year period earning about 17% as annualised returns.

Of course this might be the time it doesn’t bounce back, but if that’s the case then everyone’s stuffed.

He a senior civil servant, and he just does his job. Muddying the waters with weasel words like "the establishment" clarifies nothing. He may be responsible for the implementation of the increase in the retirement age, but at the end fo the say, these decisions are made by politicians.

His salary is hardly relevant.

Fact check. He was a Conservative MP, at least until he was charged in June 2021 when he became 'Independent'.

He has never been a Labour MP.
