I just love Belgian based fruit beer and have made many in my years of brewing. Cherry, Raspberry, Strawberry, Blackcurrant, Fruits of the Forest, I've pretty much made them all.
However, my favourite has to be Kriek (cherry), and here I'm drinking a 6.7% kriek I made about 9 months ago.

Looks tasty !

I spent last weekend bottling a two year old kriek I'd been ageing on cherries for four months - there was a pronounced whiff if vinegar but I'm optimistic!

I'd appreciate a recipe too :)

Kriek is a great style. Last year it was a cherry Lambic that won best of show at the HBC, and a very simple recipe; 50/50 wheat and pale, 90 min boil, no hops, yeast bay melange mix, 5kg destoned supermarket cherries in primary after two week, and a month of ageing. Certainly on my list.
 
I’ve been toying with doing either a Kriek or Framboise for a few months, but I’m never in a position where I have both high stocks (as it will need a long time to age) and time to brew.

I also need to get hold of a new/old FV/Demijohn to use for it.

I watched that video today, blown away by how quickly she turned that beer around. These things are ‘supposed’ to take years, conventional wisdom be damned!
 
I usually base my fruit beers on a Pilsner, and to be honest a decent Pilsner kit brew will do the trick.
For the Kreik I simply add about 4 jars of morello cherries in syrup to the mix (always available from LIDL and ALDI) and brew as normal with a high alcohol tolerant yeast such as Safale 04. Brewing normally takes around 9 days.
When transferring into a settling container, at this point I usually add cherry extract along with some pectolase.
Bottle after another 8 days or so and leave for 6 weeks.

There's nothing unique about my brewing methods, in fact some may say that they're quite basic, but if the end result is as pleasing as all my brews turn out, then so be it.

As long as none of your ingredients have preservatives or any other form of un-natural ingredients then almost anything can be thrown in the mix.
Like I have said in one of my other posts, my annual Christmas beer has allsorts in it... clementines, chocolate, Christmas puddings, treacle, cranberries, cinnamon, etc. Don't be afraid to experiment I say.
