morning guys, i have a coopers canidian blonde kit in the fv brewed with brew enhancer one. its been in the fv for 6 days now and the krausen is different from the other brews i have done (kits and biab) its realy thick and brown and hasnt fallen back yet into the wort. normally it would have fallen back by now and certainly would not have had this weird appearence. i sanatised as usual, used the kit yeast and brewed at the right tempreture so im confused as to why this change. i was gonna leave it in the fv for 3 weeks anyway just wondered if this has happened to anyone else ? cheers guys

ok, reassuring that someone else has had this. any idea why it happens like this mate ?

no this is the first time brewing that kit, i have done the coopers heritage lager, youngs pilners and youngs harvest lager kits, one with brown suger and two with brew enhancer 2.

It's a different yeast in the Blonde kit. There's your answer.

that would make sense cheers clibit, im looking forward to this kit, its had some good reviews and it will tide me over till biab brews are ready

I've heard it's a bit of a bland blonde, which might suit you. A lot of people add hops I believe.

You could try Motueka. It's a NZ Saaz hop that has a fruitier flavour, would work really well. Or Wakatu, another NZ Saaz.
