Blood Wine:
A heavily spiced mead, brewed sweet (Worf likes his bloodwine young and sweet - He may have been talking about the one who gave the blood, but possibly the ageing) wild honey mead. Filled with cranberries, juniper and blackberries. Very wintery.
Needed:
Feasibility of actual blood in recipe (Thinking cow or pig as the klingons pack their gagh in Targ blood which is boarlike klingon animal so presumably they would use Targ blood for their wine). Or would it just go weird?
Second possibility:
Blood wine is a highly stilled product and blood is used as a thickening agent Baileys style.
In a couple of weeks I will have a pair of empty demijons and will be in a position to be trying recipes (possibly one with blood, one without)
Without advice I will be making a basic heavily spiced sweet mead one DJ will be brewed with blood int he mix, the other with be split in half, blood added afterwards as a baileysesque mixer and one with nothing.
