Kit Out Of Date?

I bought a bunch of cheap equipment off Gumtree, and it came with a Brewbuddy Pear Cider kit.

Today I brewed it, but on the top of the can it said JAN 2013. Is it out of date or should I not be worried? I'm not really that bothered about the kit as it didn't really cost me anything.

It should be fine as long as the yeast is still ok. If it starts fermenting then pretty much nothing to worry about. And you could always add new yeast if it doesn't start. It's not like it's years out of date so I'm sure it will be ok

Thanks! Will keep an eye on it over the next couple of days and make sure it's fermenting.
