Bakernat said:A slightly bone question here with respect to kettle elements....
If a Kettle is designed to turn off when the water hits boiling point, how does a kettle element boiler produce a sustained rolling boil?
Is is simply that the volume of water stops it actually exceededing boiling point or is there some tinkering to the element that needs to happen?
Cheers in advance.
I plan to just buy a kettle lead off eBay. Won't they fit?bobsbeer said:Plus 1 to that. In our ASDA they have changed the design of the elements and they don't work. The kettle looks the same on the outside but inside they are different. The pins are smaller and the cut out switch is different. Also there is moulded plastic around where you would plug in the kettle lead if you go that way.
