keeping equipment in sodium met solution.

Following moleys advice on the wow how to guide i have been cleaning and sterilising my dj's directly after racking,bottling then i crush a couple of campden tabs in a couple of inches of water in the bottom of the dj and just give them a shake every now and then to keep them sweet.

Could i do the same with my bottling bucket(when it arrives) and store all my syphoning,bottling equipment and other bits and bobs in there till needed?Then on bottling,racking day just tip the solution out and everything would be good to go.

Should work if the timescales aren't huge.

All my stuff gets cleaned out with VWP after use (and so do the weekend's empties), then stored without rinsing it away, but I still run a bit of fresh VWP through it all before next use, just in case. Paranoia, there.
