i got my 5 year old son a three quarter sized lawren guitar for xmas... i first learned to play on a full sized lawren spanish acoustic when i was 10 (and still have it now!), and when i saw this at half price in my local music store for £40, i wondered if littlern would like it as he's been playing my rather expensive Yamaha Electro acoustic recently... and he's not very careful with it either because it's so cumbersome for him to pick up :? bless him.

so anyway, when i got him day after boxing day (i swap with my ex every year and it was her turn for xmas this year) i was a bit disheartened when he opened the biggest box and was like "wow it's a guitar!!!,... i'm gunna play with my hotwheels" :(

until now!... as i'm writing this he's strumming away on his three quarter sized lawren tuned to play an E chord when open and he's loving it!

i showed him that he can slide his finger along all the strings (bottle neck style) up the neck to play different chords, and he worked it out straight away :D

one proud daddy sat here right now :D

thanks guys :)

@ Frisp - When he appreciates a good ale, and not until! he doesnt even appreciate alcohol atm (no surprises there)... so god only knows! but i will have him digging out the mash tun at some point in the next 5 years
@ EB - Sorry mate, been a hectic xmas even though i've not actually done much  did you miss me?
