Afternoon all,
Thought I'd make my 1st post a brief hello before I start picking the collective brain for the immense amount of help I anticipate needing. I have been viewing this forum for a few weeks, and it's full of really helpful information, and also some interesting stories. (Glad I read about bottle bombs, and didn't follow the instructions saying to bottle after about a week).
Anyway, I'm currently showing great restraint (Finding it hard though), and giving my 1st ever brew the time it hopefully needs??? Currently it's done 2 weeks in FV, and a week bottled @ room temperature. When I say restraints though, I didn't show any in my purchase strategy, as when I decided to give home brewing a go, I absolutely had to start doing it that very day, and as a result rushed around to the places I thought sold home brew kits, and finally got one 'The Range' and am currently brewing a Pilsner. Fortunately, after my initial excitement I looked up some reviews for the Kits from The Range, and the comments seem positive. I had a quick taste during the bottling process, and even then i thought it was actually ok.
Looking forward to getting stuck into more batches, just need to amass enough bottles, and prepare vthe wife for the enterprise soon to take over our kitchen.
Cheers
Al
