Oswaldtwistle, lancs
Hi, was brewing for a couple of years (kits mainly) but have had a bit of an enforced lay off for various reasons but getting back into things now with 2 lots of Wherry on the go, use Jims Beerkit and have just found this place so no doubt will be asking several questions and searching the topics for hours over the coming months, so hello to all from a rainy and windswept Oswaldtwistle

Cheers Steve

Why is it that Yorkshiremen and Lancastrians have to tell you first and foremost where they are from? :wha:

Only joking. Welcome, Steve from Ozzletwissle

Ok, I'll retract what I wrote above, I've just checked Wikipedia, the ultimate authority on everything (yes of course I'm joking) and that says:
Elevation
The mountains are not very high and are often referred to as fells. The highest is Cross Fell in eastern Cumbria, at 2,930 feet (893 m) while other principal peaks include Mickle Fell 2,585 ft (788 m), Whernside 2,415 ft (736 m), Ingleborough 2,372 ft (723 m), High Seat 2,328 ft (710 m) and Wild Boar Fell 2,324 ft (708 m), both in Mallerstang, Pen-y-ghent 2,274 ft (693 m), and Kinder Scout 2,087 ft (636 m).
So fair enough, there are some pretty bloody big hills there, and I have walked most of them.

You're probably right.

I had some Thwaites in Blackburn a couple of years ago. That was flat.
