Went to my local home brew shop (Dorset home brew) and to be fair to the chap, he was very good and patient with me asking questions and my general lack of knowledge.

Anywho, I left with...

Bottlers tube
Young's harvest lager

I need to buy bottles, caps and sugar now but I can't wait! Been looking into this for last few weeks (as my last posts say) and I'm finally getting somewhere.

Many members use PET pop bottles as you can squeeze them to see how carbonation is going.

If you have a local pub ask them for their empty 500 ml bottles usually cider. These are not returned and go to recycle. I've got a couple of hundred that way.

Really? How do you totally clean and sterilise them?

Clean with hot water, washing up liquid and a bottle brush. Sterilize with VWP.
