My assistant is here to test the aroma of all the beers - sadly I can guarantee he will have negative views on all of them!

Initial judging is complete - however, there is a tie for first place so I'm going to go back to those two beers and assess them side-by-side to determine the overall winner.

I've called the wife in for a second opinion as the cat was no help whatsoever...

The good news is that the wife agrees with me... (insert jokes here)

In 3rd place we have @pilgrimhudd with his American Brown Ale, although it was nearly disqualified for it's name - 'MAGA Brown Ale'

In 2nd place it's @SMP Brewery with a Hazy IPA - very narrowly pipped to the victory, but a very good beer nonetheless.

And the winner is... drum roll...........

@dave_77 with a West Coast Pale!

I'll get some bottles of beer in the post to you this week as a prize.

Of the three competitions I've judged this has been by far the highest standard of beers, so everyone that entered deserves some credit.

I will send feedback shortly - just need to transfer it from my spreadsheet into a message for each entrant.

I've used the BJCP scoresheets and my own experiences of entering BJCP competitions to score each beer - anything above 30 is a very good beer, 38 and above is an excellent beer.
