Agree, it doesn't really hit the amusing mark.

I was under the impression that Stalla was Belgian rather than French, so why the references to france.

Was wondering about that myself....

Also no offence but it wasnt funny.

Well he did say he “tried” to write a funny.

One or two slightly amusing moments, but on the whole I also think he failed.

Isn't Belgian part of France?

the dig at CAMRA members wasn't funny though - who needs a wife when there are plenty of other females around anyway?

I didnt do geography and i even know its a country all of its own, almost part of france, if you take its eastern border out!

I think the reference to france was due to stella cider being called cidre, although it sounds french i dont know if that was the intention :wha:

Don't go saying that to any Flemmish Belgians.

Or Hercule Poirot for that matter or Agatha Christie will have to rise from the grave to rewrite his part in a Murder

She is dead just in case you didn't know that either. (not refering to you mumbler but the earlier poster)

I always thought that my sense of humour was more difficult to get across properly on an internet forum, this thread just confirmed it for me. ...

I'll get my coat.
Check please.
Taxi for Crastney!

It is well documented that it is hard to properly express yourself on teh interwebs. Forums and email are often used more like speach than formal written communitcation but give no vocal cues at all, and show no facial expressions. Add that to people of wildly different backgrounds and no real knowledge of each other and miscommunication is pretty much bound to follow...

If you read the parts with a French accent its funny. :)
Comedians are like wines. The longer they mature the better they get.
Keep at it :thumb:
