As per title, the weekend (for me at least) is here, got off work early and cracked open a bottle of Midas touch, it's only been in the bottle around 5 weeks, but it's very good...just what I needed to welcome the weekend.

So what are all of you drinking? And may I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy weekend!!

Cheers :D

I've just had a bottle of Midas Touch that I brewed on 2nd August. Very nice although a little bit bitter in the after taste for my liking, and its certainly not as Golden as I expected . Still its an enjoyable drink.

Happy weekend, drink plenty keep sober and enjoy your days off

White wine (Louis Jadot, Macon Village)

Mainly because all my beer is still sitting in FV :(

Happy Weekend!

over staying at my brothers house so no homebrew, stopped off at the Waitrose and picked up 4 bottles that I've never tried, Brakspear bitter, St.Peters IPA, Fullers Discovery and Ringwood Old Thumper, looking forward to watching the Middlesbrough game with a few swallies. cheers guys

B&M mate, there's quite cheap for ales and such.
I did notice two were out of date tho, but only by a month.

Will did my receipt out and post the prices :)

Home bargains is also a good place to try for cheap ales :£

Coopers Wheat Beer

Got to say that I wasn't really looking forward to it: now that summer has passed there are loads of bottles languising unloved in the fridge, as I tuck back into the dark beers, but as I was cooking a curry decided to give it a try. Pleasantly surprised: didn't really set the world on fire when I brewed it back in early Sept but has matured nicely (even though it's meant to be drunk quite young), the additional orange and coriander I added are now coming through nicely, but in the background not overwhelming. Must do this one again next spring. :D

that looks tremendous Graham!

It is really good, you can tell its homebrew but it has much more flavour than anything you would buy in the shops. I added light dry malt and some hops to it. Its only the second brew Ive made (the last being 2 years ago) and its definitely put me in the mood to brew more. I'm tempted to go BIAB at some point but will probably just move up to premium kits for the time being. I have read on here that St Peters Ruby Ale is decent so that will probably be my next brew.

I'm off to pour another, its going to be difficult trying to keep some of this for Christmas to let my family try it.

Just having a golden stag tho can only have 1 or 2 as i have got work in the morning and smelling of beer is not ideal whilst driving a bus :( . Will be having plenty more plus some wherry tomorrow to make up for it .

holy sh+t i knew i should be doing something , drinking !! i've been messing around cleaning my brew stuff and so on i'd forgotten its friday night time for a beer , gonna be a dunkles (dark)wheat beer , i'm not that impressed by it ( the way i made it that is ) cheers

Working tomorrow unfortunately. Won't stop me from having a light refreshment but I certainly won't be having a Friday night session :D

I stuck a bottle of Pinot Grigio in the Fridge earlier so will probably give that a go. I also have a glass of Perez Cruz red wine left in a bottle.

So it's looking like wine night.

In the fridge is..

Bud Lime 2
Coopers European Lager
Random TC

With the Finlandia and Absolute vodkas I got as presents not so long ago, and the bottle of Southern Comfort I brought back from my hols, I'm actually spoiled for choice for a change :D

Christmas is gonna be gooooooooooood!!
