Hi, i have had my young's bitter in primary fermentation for 9 days now, and the hydrometer has read 1.006 for the last 2-3 days.
Is it time to bottle? The other reason I ask is that when I leave the lid on, it still gets a bulge in it after a time. Very strange. I really think it is time to bottle, i just dont want them to explode lol.

Thanks

That's a low gravity. But yes, it's time to bottle.

The bulge is probably down to fluctuations in temperature and some c02 coming out of solution. Don't worry about it.

Good advice James, When i was very new to homebrewing  I was largering my first pilsner larger brew in my fridge, evrytime I opend the door to check on (it as you do cant think why :wha: ) the airlock showed signes of activity Still fermenting :wha: :?: even the slightest temperature increase as I opend the door convinced me it was still fermenting :wha: it awsnt of course
