Phookin ell, birth of the next royal has been announced...fully expect sounds of elation and hand wringing from the smug set of the BBC banging on and on about it for the next 6 weeks...However all the best to Billy Wales and his wife...The rumors were untrue, I always knew he had it in him...

This calls for a brewday to wet the babies head...a generously strong all british bitter...strong enough to give you sleepless nights shouting for your Mum, in the process, piddling the bed or the wardrobe...I may call it "The shallow end" or "The last night of peace"

I've abandonded the living room after my wife insisted on watching the hysteria on BBC News

Now, I'm not anti-royal as such, I just don't care

If Queenie would have all the politicians hung, drawn and quartered I will become a Royalist instantly

Good excuse for a bevvy

As if any of us need an excuse.

But as a 55 year old who has never seen a coronation (along with the majority of UK population), I think their term of office should be limited.

But skip a generation .... not Charlie .... please

I know what you mean Mike. Think I'll avoid TV, radio and newspapers for the next week. Wonder if they will call him Wayne. :wha:

Its all a load of sh3te really, gets on mi nerves, I cannot remember photographers camping out outside mi gaff in Barnsley when her in doors produced Dronfield Brewer Junior...

got the telly on now,...pan to grinning bozo journalist sat outside a pub in Buckinghamshire whilst the locals pile into the Pimms and Champers...speculating if the local shop might have a commemorative mug or two...

I wonder if the new boy is a ginger!!! now there's a thought

I wish Diana was here to see it, I don't like the monarchy one bit, but that lady was a saint, not for what she was but for who she was and what she did for others, I guess you could say she got caught up with a bad bunch.

That woman who hung the notice up outside Buckingham Palace is a nasty bit of work. She was the first woman my dad went out with after my parents split up. Nasty, nasty bit of work, and to top it off, she hates all kids! Main reason she left my dad was because his pay packet from the police wasn't big enough. She was a journalist for a local newspaper at the time.

I was hoping we'd get a bank holiday. seems unlikely though.

Well, she certainly did a fair few PR-friendly things, but "saint" is pushing it a bit. Mind you I wouldn't wish a marriage to Chaz on anybody, not even Camilla.

I think she used her position well, more than pr, if she had the influence she did have, without all the publicity and fame she would have definitely done things the same way, I don't think any of it was for her own gain, she really cared, but your right about his new mrs, mutt!!!!

Cynic that I am I'm, keeping my eye open for the " bad news" thats bound to be released by the government while the majority of folks are caught up in the BBC induced hysteria of the moment.

I thought Wimbledon had started again !

+1 on that!

I'm very happy for them. As I usually am for all new parents.

I hate the effing media.

I'm entirely sure the Waleses hate the f***ers too. It's so unfair on them, if it all went a bit like:

In labour: Hurrah!
Born - Boy: Hurrah!
Named: Hurrah! (although "Hurrah Wales" would be a strange name)
Christened: Hurrah! (see above)

Then everyone would be kind of pleased in the same way you are when Bob at work and his missus had their first. There would be no ******-offness whatsoever.

I table the motion that all tabloid reporting outlets be torched and all staff eviscerated, replacing the whole lot with what the Beeb should actually be - "Here you go, news. Make of it what you will. The end".

Glad I don't watch live tv, too busy campaigning against government censorship to give a **** about someone who I don't know having a kid.
