sorry to bother you all,but i,m doing my 1st home brew a youngs lager 40 pint kit(got to start somewhere)?the instructions say bottle after 4/6 days or when i have a costant reading, however, after reading some posts,it seems you all leave in the fv for around 9 days???

Yeah you don't want to rush it, once you have 2 days of steady readings I'd leave it for a couple of more days and allow the yeast to tidy up abit more. It's worth waiting for it trust me :thumb:

i did one of them and im drinking a few of em now and again, it came out really well,
i left it in the fv for 4 weeks to settle,
it clears better, and the sediment becomes more solid in the fv,

I only do kits at the moment and never touch them before 14 days from pitching

I now find that this gives me a beer that clears in 4 to 5 days in the bottle and are drinkable after 7 to 10 days

note I said drinkable but much better after 14 to 21 days in the bottle

It's normal to do exactly what it says on the can, but I agree with all the above comments.
