I guess no one told these Yummy Mummies when they bought their Rich ******* Shopping Trollies, that fitting them with road tires does not turn them into Ari Vaatenen

 Thats made my day!!! LMFAO :thumb:

Devon doesn`t get much snow but we had up to 25cm last night - council got main roads going before 10am, buses working and chaos on side roads - I live near a big hill so everyone parks at the bottom - walked four miles to work and got the bus home - car safe on the drive :D

My daughter lived for a few years in Chicago, guaranteed to snow for a few months each year so that have to plan for it .Could not help noticing when we visited certain streets had signs saying any cars parked on this road between October and March will be removed. That way the plows can easily sweep the main roads several times a day which is why they can do what we can`t.
They know its coming every year you can almost name the day. It must cost them a lot of money to maintain but its a necessity. Also they have built the road structure to help them cope. Its not needed, would never work here and would be very expensive. We also like a moan.

When I drove home last night I saw a gritter out on a rather large road that skirts our estate, his lights were flashing and he was racing along obviously in a hurry to grit the road......

No... the gritter was switched off

And surprise surprise the road is slippier than a bucket of eels.

Perhaps he had just forgotten to switch it on or perhaps it was blocked, or perhaps the council had told them to go out and pretend to grit :hmm: :hmm:
