Is this yeast OK to use

I am about to brew a Sierra Nevada and Punk IPA clones, I have wyeast 1469 which i use for my TT landlord. Is this an OK yeast to use on these brews.
 
I have Crossmyloof US Pale Ale would this be better?

US PALE ALE STRAIN CLASSIFICATION: Suitable for American Style Pale Ales, American Double IPAs, American Style Imperial Stouts and more. A top-fermenting ale strain suitable for American style ales. This yeast produces an exceptionally clean flavour, ideal for when you want the hop character to really punch through.
 
I reckon that it is okay to use a different style of yeast but I recommend that one should NEVER use a significantly out of date yeast!

This is after yesterday's fiasco when I used some OOD Allison's Dried Yeast to make 3 x 500g loaves and (after 4 hours of "proving") resulted in 3 x 500g barely edible breeze blocks!

The "Best Before" date on the yeast was June 2018, but what makes the whole situation a complete screw-up is that on Thursday I had thrown away the trub from the Cherry Lager which ...

I can recommend the US Pale Ale yeast.

Did you keep it stored cool?

A couple of years ago my father bought a 500 g packet of dried bread yeast, which we split in half. I kept it in an airtight box in my refrigerator. I think I kept it three years before it was all used up. Never had a problem baking with it.
