I have had my Wherry in the FV for about two weeks but recently this has appeared on the top, it looks a little like mould to me :(

That's because you are prevented from using images until your post count gets up a bit.

If you can post the URL of the image I can make it work for you.
 
Many folk here have the brew in the FV for 2 weeks or even 3 but once bitten... as I just mentioned in another topic, I now transfer to a second FV after a few days to get it away from all the crud.
