Is there a limit to the length of a beer line?

As above really. I've had a wacky idea about storing my beer & chiller in the loft and running a couple of lines down to the kitchen lol.

Wasn't sure if there would be any limitations.

Yup, that's exactly what I'm thinking. I've got one of those line chiller things. It's a noisy fecker so it needs to be stored out the way, but I would like to have ready access in the house for when we have friends over etc... so the garage isn't an ideal option.

Through reading about you want approx 1psi of pressure at the tap so I've got some calculating to do as I'll need to take gravity and the syphoning effect into consideration in order to determin what ID of line to use.
